I have been working on the restoration for little over a year now.
And it is just time consuming. However did find out a few cool facts the hard way. I will probably repaint her in 2005. However I did find when you go up to hemi hp the whole body flexes when you dump the tranny for smoking the wheels and cracks the paint on the roof. Also I did some measuring and found a particular cool fact that I thought the roadrunners and satellites did but was not sure. Until i took a tape measure to it. The engine mounts unlike a dodge charger, polara,dart,duster,fury or coronet.
is offset by 4 inches to the right. To balance the race weight of the driver with the engine the only other mopar vehicles to do this where the challenger T/A 340 and the Barracuda AAR 340 for SSCA race standards. A pretty rare setup on small block factory setup 340 vehicles. But I have noticed it on the SSP and the Satellite smallblocks as well.
