Well, I just finished my Satellite project last night and I was contacted by a Mopar collector from Switzerland who made me a above market offer and I sold the car. He met me in person and paid me full in cash. Now the car is off to Switzerland!
But no worries I have a new project planed to stay tuned. I'm not done with 71-72 B-Bodys just yet.

I hope you put a Roadrunnernest.com sticker in its window before you sold it.

Maybe gionni can give us a holler if he sees it.

Yep, I have a few parts around my house right now. I will be looking for a car here soon. But this time I think I will build a REAL Road Runner, or GTX.

No time to enjoy the car on the road, it happened so fast. Yesterday I was working on the dash, today the car is on its way to Switzerland and my bank account is fatter.
But I loved building the car and saving it from death. And I will build another soon.

How can this happen though?
Does anyone else have a strong bond to their car like i do to mine?
I can understand selling because of financial issues but to just get rid of it because a guy waves money in front of you??
cars have feelings too

I know what you mean about having a bond with a car. There are only a few in my life I have truly had a bond with. To be honest I really could use the money more then the car right now. And after I started building it I changed my mind on what I wanted to own. Now that I have a bit more talent I feel that I could do a really nice restore on a numbers car. But I do really miss the car and I loved it. But I will buy and build another one.

I guess my first question is, how the heck did you hook up with some Swiss guy that ended up buying your car as soon as it was finished?

The guy has a house in the Bay Area here in the states as well. When I finished the car I posted an ad on a board to check interest in the car. He replied within 20 minutes, and came up right away with cash. I had toyed with the idea of selling the car because I really wanted to build another one and did not have the space or money for two. Also, I really could use some cash back right now as I am trying to buy a home. But I never thought it would sell so quick and that I would get more then what I was expecting. I figured I would get people sending me emails about it off and on for a few months and then I would give up on trying to sell it due to being tired of everyone being a flake.
Also gionni, He wrote down what town in Switzerland he was taking it to, but I can barely read his writing. If I can figure it out I will post it so you can see if its close to you.
