Slate Gray Irid question

Post by Miel » Mon May 14, 2007 10:55 am

a question:

is it true that Slate Gray Irid is a very rare color on the '71 RR and GTX. I've never seen it before, got the paint chip but never say a picture of a car with that color.
anyone got a picture with that color because I thinkeng of (when I got my own car) to paint it that color. anyway thanks.

check out the link above for all the Mopar colors by year, if you haven't already. I didn't see the color you're talking about, but then again I didn't check the Chrysler line, only the Dodge and Plymouth.

Okay, dumbass Serious Satellite. . . the slate grey Iridescent--for some damn reason I kept reading Iris as in flower-- is there. Hope this helps.

It's on the list under Plymouth--A8 Slate Grey Iridescent and Gunmetal Grey for Dodge. Can't say if I've ever seen a '71 in this color.

I got the paint chips of plymouth year 71. and there is a (cool) color that called Slate Grey Irid. I'll post a picture later to show you all.
and I probably use my 3d art skills to make my RR that color, see topic:

While slate grey was a Chrysler color in 71, it was not a standard color available on the satellite line. I suppose you could have special ordered it, but it's very likely no 71 B cars were built in this color

The car in the picture is not slate grey, it's GA4 light gunmetal. That color was available. Slate grey/dark gunmetal is GA8 and is much darker than the car in the photo....
