I know, off topic, but hey, for a 75 this ain't
too bad. I think the interior style should have been named "TRON"...
you'll see....

I know this was a 318 car, but could you still get a 440 in these?

I used to follow one of these to work every day. It was white with a black interior and that 3-D trunk treatment was cool to follow.
I always loved that body style.

It's a nice car. I like that body style too. Im always looking for one of them, hoping to pick one up for a killer deal for a future project (like I need one).

Still looks like my grandpa's Fury with badges and stickers on it. Not a true model style.
I could not call a 2 door Polara a Charger anymore then this is a RoadRunner.

My grandpa drove a Buick.
I like the 75 body style for the Roadrunner, better than the Volare package.
I always think Ricardo Monteboln (sp?) and Cordoba's rich Corinthian Leather though before I think of it as a bird.

I dont know the production numbers on these but I would venture to say they are not too high. That and the fact they are a one year body style would make this a collector. I would like to have one with a big block and a 4 speed, if they came that way or not. They would look alot better if the bumpers would not stick out so much. I'd like to get my paws on one.
Rare Bird?

Xray...I bet you are right about that being a rare year of roadrunner....
But does anyone know what is the rarest roadrunner year of all?
Maybe a breakdown fom 1968-1978?
take care scott

Yes and no, at least when the road runner was first introduced, it was based on the satellite body but had engine and suspension upgrades. Your grandpa's satellite tweaked for more performance. Later when mopar started watering it down with 318 engines and small rear ends it became just badges and stickers...

Yeah, it did become badges and stickers. But in my opinion, Plymouth sold the Satellite's short in 73/74. I know the long history of the gas shortages, I lived em, and I understand the increasing govt. restrictions on fuel emissions, and I am aware of the insurance agencies problems with hi po, but still, the 73/74 Satellites/Roadrunners, when done right, is/can be a damn fine MUSCLE CAR.
Of course, you have to provide the steroids, but it is still the coolest body style of all the Satellites.
