eBay Link

Admin edit: Guys, please use the URL tags when posting eBay links so that we don't wind up with posts 500 miles wide. :)

It's not really that nice considering what he's touting it as. It doesn't even have the correct painted pin stripe on the side. It's a vinyl tape pin stripe. This car has been on ebay several times over the past year and a half and has never come close to the reserve. It probably wouldn't take too much to make it as nice as he thinks it is, but he's been trying to sell it since it got out of the paint booth and I think it has scared bidders off knowing whoever is restoring it is just doing a good enough job to sell it. "Smoke and mirrors"

You would think for that amount, some good pictures could be taken of it!

You would think that with all the hype that he would get the front license plate bracket on there right. makes me wonder what else is " accurate".... especially with no build sheet to go by.

I'm confused...it looks like he has the correct V7W pinstripes down the side. How can you tell they're vinyl? The tuff wheel is incorrect, but overall it seems like a decent car. What makes you think it was restored to sell, the location and stuff in the background? I do not recall seeing this one up for sale before. It's not the same one down in Texas that's been up for auction several times (the one that has been in various stages of restoration), I have the numbers on that one.
He has the fender tag and I'm assuming it's original. That's a pretty good start to determine what goes on the car. A lot of cars do not have broadcast sheets, my LA built car (like most) doesn't, and I've not found one in my survivor +6 St. Louis car either. Just curious why you guys dislike it so much

Eric, my mistake if it's not the same car that has been listed on ebay during various stages of restoration. It sure appeared to be the same car to me. You would know better than me since you collect the data. As far as the stripe, it appears that the stripe is made out of tape by the raised, squared off edges on the photo of the driver's side fender. Not a big deal, and easy to correct. If it's not the same car that has been listed numerous times before, then disregard my comment about it being a perfumed pig. Actually, now that I think about it, I think the car I'm thinking about was actually a 4 speed. My bad.

Oops Ryan, looks like it's my bad!
He posted the fender tag #s today, and it is that same car that was in Texas and on ebay over the last few months. I have a feeling that it's a different owner though.

Eric, I think it's just a different ebay account. It appears to be the same shop.

Eric, what makes you think the Tuff wheel is incorect (I can't see a clear pic of it, my eyes are playing games with me at this time)

It has the wrong center cap for a 71 car and looks to be one of the reproduction wheels
