Found a 68 Roadrunner locally for sale....
The guy is asking $6500 for it....has a 77 440 with a auto....car was originally a 383 4 speed....it has some of the original 4 speed parts, but is missing the whole tranny....but it did have some extra parts including a aluminum tranny housing....its sporting a 69 front end, but has some good extras....quarters need replacing, floors are good, trunk is good, outer wheel houses need replacing....I'm thinking about offerring $4000 for it.....

The whole front clip is from a 69....the guy says he has people from all over lining up for it....he offered it to me first as I was the only local....it does need alot of work and I have reconsidered its value....I would only pay $1500 tops....its got a nice trunk, floors are ok, hood has been carved up, got ladder bars on it, so its my belief as a buyer that it has been run hard and put up wet....Probably gonna pass on it....the owner says he has 9 others interested.
He was getting his dollar value from a magazine that said that a condition #3 car would net $8500....he dropped 2K off for not having the original motor/tranny....I wish him luck in selling it....it aint worth $6500....

The Sourdough is only looking at the magazine and what it says....BTW, he has only been here for 5 years....not much of a Sourdough in my book....but we all have to start somewhere!
He must have been watching The Speed Channel and the BJ auctions.
