Which RR Nest members have the latest car birthdays 71-74?

My 73 has 803 on the fender tag. So, is that Aug 3? Is that early, or late?

That looks like a very early build date. You can verify early or late by the last six numbers in your VIN. They started the VIN sequence numbers at 100001 at the beginning of the production year. If you are just a thousand or so higher than 100001 - then you have an early build. If you have a much larger number like 248465 - then you are much later in the production year.

Wow, 803 would be a very late build for 1973. Typically they are starting the next model year by the beginning of August. The 1973/1974 change over might be a special case though. The big wigs at Chrysler knew that 1974 would be the last year for the Satellite line, and they were not going to make any major changes to the body - just some minor trim changes. Therefore, they may have extended the 1973 production a few more weeks because no major tooling needed to be done. Very interesting - thanks for sharing! I will update the list with your ride.

If the sticker on the drivers door is still legible, you could see if it agrees.

And you could look for date codes on the wiper motor and trans. case to see when they were built.

Also check all the glass!

It's still at my old place, I plan on getting it here next week. All I have here is the title and fender tag.

I got my Satty home last night. Looking at the door tag, it has a date of 7-26-73.

July 26th makes more sense. I have 2 RR's in my database that straddle your VIN that were also built on 7/26. Scott.

A= Oct
B= Nov
C= Dec

So B11 would be November 11th

The date code on our tags is on the second row from the bottom, 4th group over. 1st digit is for the month - 1-9 for Jan through Sep, A-C for Oct through Dec. The next two digits are the day of the month. So in the above example, B11 would be November 11th. Scott.

Yep, he is still in the first half of production for the 1972 model year. But nobody else on the Nest has volunteered a later date! My criteria is RRNest member cars - so he has the latest 1972 Sebring so far. Scott.
