daisy duke car
I've seen that car before and was wondering about the stripe. My car had a stripe onit like that, but it was thicker. It looked like a 74 stripe on a 71, but it wasn't. Anybody know anything about these stripes, or did everybody just think the starsky and hutch theme looked good before I was born?
Actually I did like it-wish I would've painted it back on when I had the car painted.

I honestly don't know if mine was vinyl or painted on-I think it was painted, but I stripped my car, so it all kind of looked like vinyl, you know what I mean? I just figured paint would be a lot easier and maybe cheaper than vinyl-like the taillight stripes. Straight shot (basically around the taillights-lot easier(for me)than vinyl. I couldn't get my Plymouth decal on the front right, or else my graphic was bad, cuz the top one is right on, but the bottom letters aren't centered. Luckily, the 440's on the sides went on perfect!

The tail light blackout stripes are a HUGE pain to get on right, especially when the bumper is already mounted on the car. I always spray a little glass cleaner before mounting the stripe. It allows you to move it around some to get it just right.
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!

Try using a spray bottle (12-16 oz) with 5-10 drops of dish soap. That will give you plenty of time to slide it around before committing.Butterscotch71 wrote:The tail light blackout stripes are a HUGE pain to get on right, especially when the bumper is already mounted on the car.
