73-73 Satellite values

Post by Limecuda » Fri Dec 02, 2005 10:54 pm

I'm looking at a 73 Satellite rust free ARZ car. It has a 318 auto on the column. New interior (bench) and new black top. The car is mint green (1 repaint)with green interior. It is just your plain jane Satellite Sebring. no dents or dings. How much would you spend? It is very similar to this taken from the image gallery.

I would think $4-6k. That's the range I just paid for a '72 in similar condition, but with faded paint on the hood and decklid. 39k original mile car.

Good luck. 8)

Satellite values

Go to
www.collectorcarmarket.com

Here is what they list for 73 Satellites

Sebring Plus #4 2075, #3 condition $4825, #2 $7750 #1 $10150

Satellite Custom 2 door #4 $1625, #3 $3400, #2 5450 #1 $7150

That car might be a #2 at best maybe closer to a #3. Somewhere inbetween might be a realistic place to make an offer.

Good luck, inspect it first. IF it is as nice as a #2 go for it.

ARZ car huh? Should not have much rust to worry about like us in the MID West.

It looks to be all original too.

Nice find.

What are your plans for it?

It is going to get a RR hood as soon as I find one. The stock 318 will have to go for a 340/360. I have to finish my 71 Barracuda before I get too involved into it. Only reason for buying it was I just sold a rusty 68 Charger and thought I needed to "reinvest" into another car. I feel the 73-74 should pick up and wanted to find as clean a car as possible.

My dad bought this 73 new. Image He sold it in '83 we found it trashed out in the summer of '86 and redid the car for my first car. I sold it in '95. I was looking for a replacement in '98 and found the Cuda. Last January I was looking for a 71/74 RR/Sat and found the Charger. After having an offer I couldn't refuse for the Charger I insisted on finding a solid 71-74. Here it is. I may recreated the RR from my childhood. 8)

I have to find a transport to get it here now.[

With the exception of dented bumpers, the car has no dents or dings. It's too nice to just put in storage. I believe it will be my car show cruiser this year.
