My new car.....

Post by 72RR400 » Mon Oct 10, 2005 7:26 pm

Hey, I just bought my third mopar this weekend, I am stoked, although this one is really far from a good project car. The reason I actually bought it was to get some instrement cluster items and a few misc things. Now my list of Mopars I am ownig or had owned is
1972 Road Runner- my daily driver to school, love that car
1971 Satellite- Needed some body parts, sold last year
and yet another 1971 Satellite- just bought this weekend

If anybody needs anything just throw me a message, I have some pretty nice vinyl top trim and a grill that is kinda ok, but not great shape. I know this post was pointless but I am pretty stoked, just thought i'd share my enthusiasm

I am SOOOO JEALOUS

Where do you guys keep finding these 71's???? :help: I have been searching high and low looking for one. The only cars I have found so far are either parts cars, way overpriced projects, or bondo buckets that have been overhauled with Krylon.

What color is the car you just bought???

Well the first one we bought had a super straight, clean body, but the 318 had been picked clean, but I didn't mind because I am a big block guy, but my dad spotted that one behind a shop about 20 miles away from my house, so we talked tothe guy who owned it and was able to buy it. The one I just bought this weekend is not in as good as shape as the first I bought, but for the price I couldn't pass it up, $250, it needs or new fender or have it majorly repaired, and the quater has some bondo, and no motor or tranny, but I found that car in some dudes backyard about30 miles away, it took awhile to get ahold of the guy but it was worth it. I think I have bought up most of the 71's around, although I have heard a rumor of one, but I think they are selling it for $2,500, but I am not sure.
Oh and the color is a blue with a black vinyl top and white seats.

If you happen to run across one for sale that your planning to pass up, please keep me in mind. I am really, REALLY wanting to find a 71 B body!! (Had a 71 RR in High School/1991) And I will have another one day, (soon I hope). :D

Hey 1ccg, I will talk to my dad tonight and see if we can get ahold of the guy with the '71, the last I heard of the car it was still for sale, but this was in Janurary, but I will try to contact the guy. Like I said I am not sure bout the price but I know at the time it wasn't a whole lot (no more than $3,500). I think it was a small block car, but once again I am not sure. But I' ll try to have info and a number for you to call this weekend.

Does that included the Hemi-grade Automatic 727 he had built a year ago or is he keeping it?

That is with everything. He's getting out of the old mopars stuff altogether. He won't leave it sit around since his kid will "aquire" anything that is left.
