Death Race (3000, not 2000)

Post by patrick » Mon Aug 04, 2008 9:57 am

Anyone notice how much Death Race (yet-to-be-released movie) reminds them of Mad Max? I think it's a cool idea about the weapons mounted on the vehicles, though. I really wish Mad Max 4 would be made already.

I do like Jason Statham, though. He's like the modern-day Bruce Willis. Just a good generic actor for stupid movies like this. It's a compliment, really.

I guess I'll just write/draw some Mad Max comic books in my spare time.

I guess I mean the Road Warrior, not Mad Max. But anyway, yeah, cool idea, poor writing/execution. I can just tell, without even seeing the movie yet.

Theres 3 choices you have.

Go pay out the a$$ for movie tickets, stale popcorn,an uncooked hot dog and a syrupy soda

or wait until its rentable

OR*(my favorite)

Wait until the movie gets on watchmovies.net and watch it for free, months before its comes out to dvd,it will be available 4 days after its in the movie theaters. And its not illegal.

Hey I just saw the previews for that movie on Spike T.V. It's got that guy from Deadwood ( I wonder, if they had Viagra back then, would they change their town name?).

The premise of the movie reminds me a lot of Running Man....You know with Arnold Swart?????(spelling).

i watched the movie online.

Im not sure what to think.I really really liked the concept but they lacked on actually pulling it off, they did,but barely.

I wasen't surprised to Jason Statham was basically the same character as he was in every other movie he was in.

somewheres in the beginning i almost stopped watching it because it seemed like just an idea someone had, through it all together and left things answered or didnt make sense.

i give it a 3/5

The first time I saw the commercial, I thought it was a "made fot TV movie". Then I realized somebody actually sunk millions of dollars into a silly movie that will be on the big screen for a week and then out on DVD!!! I guess the producers never heard of Death Race 2000 and what a piece of poop that movie was!!
