Looks like a rust free body. I wonder if they'd give me the price on the window instead of the price on the ad??

It seems to be over priced to me. There are drivers available for a slightly higher price. I paid $4,000 for my 72 Satellite.

Well, I agree, but I look at it from the perspective of money I wouldn't be spending on bodywork. I paid $5,000 for mine because the body was almost flawless. It had other issues but I'm a mechanic.

Weird how '71-'72 Satellites demand more money than '73-'74 Road Runners. They're becoming like Chargers: Whether it's an R/T or not, it's still considered a "muscle car". Not hating, just something I'm observing. I agree, the body style of the '71-'72 looks better, but still... It's not a Road Runner. Ah well...

Personally, I think $3.5K is worth it just because it IS a Road Runner and still within the muscle-car age. But I also think you're undermining how much bodywork it will actually need. Rust can hide itself very well. Of course, you could buy a driver for $3.5K (just check E-bay), but then you'd probably end up doing more on bodywork and mechanics in the long run. If you seriously feel you can handle the mechanics and just shine up the paint with McGuire's, go for it. You can always get a repaint down the road, or a 360 crate motor since it's already a small block.

I was noticing there's a 75 Road Runner on EBAY currently. Interestingly, it's getting bids and plenty of interest. That has to feel good for him. You think it's lonely being a 73/74 owner? lol

Thats pathetic,i just got done seeing a satellite sundance for that the same price and it has no rust,yet this almost parts car rr is selling the same.
poeple need to open up their eyes.

I dunno Smellslike, the car looks complete for the most part. I think the price on the window is closer to reality though. I'd personally offer $2500.

I paid 800 bucks for my running/albeit rusty project Satellite Sebring and drove it home from Virginia to Ohio.

(a numbers matching Satellite, althought it's a 318 cu inch engine and the transmission is numbers matching waiting for a rebuild and the rear end is numbers matching, waiting for a rebuild as well, so it's a numbers matching rusty albeit running Satellite Sebring waiting patiently for my DAUGHTERS to stop wrecking their damn cars so Dad can afford to rebuild this project instead of dreaming about it. But, it is a numbers matching 74 Satellite Sebring. . .)

kids. It's a myth that they get cheaper the older they get. . .

I'm no expert, but from shopping prices up to when I got my '71 Satellite for $4500, you just can't touch *any* real Roadrunner for that kind of money unless it's a total hulk. If there's really no significant rust and is complete, I'd say go for it if they'll take under $3000 and you have the means to restore it.

I like the 71-72 body style better myself, but a real RR is a RR, and I actually like the look of the 73+ cars better than pre-71's.
