Looks like they finally finished the Kay Stevens car (1971 Sebring Plus /sunroof/LOADED). It looks great. I remember when I was looking for my car back in 2000, the Stevens car was on traderonline.com for $6500. With the money I make now, I could have bought it. But back then I was watching the dollars...spent $4000 on my car, and that was more then I wanted to at the time. Any way, the car has 6 days left on eBay, its at $10,100(reserve not yet met). Be curious as to the reserve price. Its seems to me, this is a car you buy unrestored, restore it, and keep it a long time. I would think it would be tough making money on this car. Only thing that could make the car worth more, is if was a 383....but I love the 318 baby!
The history is very cool on the car, and with the sunroof, cassette player, 6 way driver seat, etc etc etc....it would be a very neat car to own. Its a looker for sure.
Call me nuts, but I would take the Stevens car over a Road Runner. Its always great to see a real Sebring Plus restored as a Sebring Plus. So many RP cars are cloned Runners. I have people come up to me at cruises asking "whats a Satellite?" or I hear them a couple cars away say "hey, there's a nice Road Runner"....I always want to say "where?" lol

I agree with you, mid 20's is too high. Like I said in my previous post, this is the type of car you buy unrestored, and put money in it planning to keep it, not make money on it. I think Dave here said he inquired about the car, but after thinking about the price & restoring, it wouldn't be worth it. It is a very cool car! I like the color, and its SO loaded. The 318 thing is a downer price wise...I'm surprised its not a 383. Even if it were, mid 20's would be high in my opinion.
I know there is a buyer for everything, and its going to take a person who LOVES SSP's, and has a ton of cash to spend.
Sunroof cars are very cool. I almost bought one a few months back (74 SSP)...I dragged my feet on it, scared it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Someone else bought it, and after speaking to him, the car was as advertised. And was only $1500 too! I kicked myself for a month.

It would be real easy to drop in a 340 and make it look somewhat like a 318. Keep it blue, etc. I am not sure how much the car is worth completly stock with 2BBl and (cough, wheeze!!!) single exhaust. I would think that having a little more power would add to the desire of the car.
I did something similar with my 318. I rebuilt it with a bigger cam and a 72-340 intake and TQ. It looks like a factory option because I used a 72 340 air cleaner and choke and painted it small block blue. Real nice looking and WAY more power than the stock 318 2BBl. I think it adds to the value of the car. Besides who really wants a 2Bbl v8 mopar anyways.

You can easily count me in the group that would love to own this car, just like it is. I've had 2 chances at the car, and for $$$ reasons, had to turn it down both times. I seriously considered the car before it was restored (but from the guy down in FL who has it now), just before I made the commitment to jump headlong into Project Blue Bird. He offered me the car for $10,000 at that time, which included all the parts he had aquired for it already.
I think mid-20's is a bit much for the car - personally I'd put it's value at 17-20K tops, because of it's well documented history. Without the history, it's still a really cool car, but probably only tops out at 15-17K, maybe just a bit more. It is one of the few specific cars on my "want to own someday" list, which also includes the only Hemi Road Runner with sunroof - GB5 / M6B5 / V4W.
Oh, as of 09:15 on 3/8, it's at 12,300, reserve not met.
