Re: Brake and clutch pedal height issue
Don't have a parts book for 73, but a look at 71 may provide insight: The brake pedals for ATX vs. MTX cars had different part numbers. Same for brake pedal brackets. The clutch pedal part numbers differed for 6 vs. 8 cylinder The clutch pedal bracket was same regardless The clutch linkage rod varie...

Re: Windshield and back glass molding clips
I needed a few replacement clips, since I was missing a handful between front and rear. For a 71, I'd say front and rear are the same. But the new clips I bought were not quite the same as the originals. I tried 2 or 3 different sources. I wound up altering some a little. They do seem to have a litt...

It seems to change hues depending on the lighting. It's not metallic. Best in bright sunlight.

Don't think I've ever seen a '71 Plymouth B-body with elastomeric bumper.

Re: Fender bolt size
Assuming you are referring to the bolts going into the inner fender (apron) and core support, these are 5/16 - 18, and I believe 1-1/4" long, although 1" is probably long enough. You are aware that these had captive "fender" washers?

Re: WAIT A MINUTE-WHAT JUST HAPPENED (6 YEARS AGO)?
As it turns out, they're giving me a 2 - 3 weeks delivery time. I'm guessing he has to make them. I never thought it made sense for anyone to set up tooling to produce these moldings. With a few less than 3,000 GTXs built, and most likely less than 500 in existence now, the economics didn't seem fav...

Re: WAIT A MINUTE-WHAT JUST HAPPENED (6 YEARS AGO)?
Much to my surprise, I found a listing for 71 GTX rocker moldings on ebay the other day. The seller is "klassicparts". https://www.ebay.com/itm/312699797251?ViewItem=&vxp=mtr&item=312699797251 He told me he made a few sets of them in his shop and they are an exact reproduction of originals, which he...

Re: WAIT A MINUTE-WHAT JUST HAPPENED (6 YEARS AGO)?
Thanks, Eric. I think you're right. Now I know how to advertise for a resell. Or I could put them on my '72 cuda tribute.
Not likely I'll ever find GTX moldings.

WAIT A MINUTE-WHAT JUST HAPPENED (6 YEARS AGO)?
In late 2012 I bought a '71 GTX that needed, among other things, a lot of body work. It was missing the rocker moldings. Some time in 2013 I stumbled onto a pair on ebay listed at $900. When I got them for a $500 offer I thought I had done good. For the most part, the restoration work finished up th...

Anyone know where I can find a list of the stickers, both under the hood and on doors or door jambs, along with photo or description of where they were located?

Re: Fan Shrouds For All
Thanks, Eric. Found all the info you stated in my service manual and parts catalog about an hour after I posted both here and B Bodies Only. Need to train myself to look there. Apparently, basic cooling systems on some vehicles with 22" radiators had no shrouds. A little bit surprising because of th...

Fan Shrouds For All
Wondering if anyone can positively confirm that a 71 or 72 GTX or RR with a 440 4-BBL and a 22" radiator would have a shroud. Mine didn't when I bought it in 2012. Listings for shrouds at YearOne and Classic Industries seem to be saying not all 22" radiators had shrouds. I'm not so much concerned ab...

Re: Turning Root Beer Into Lemonade
Been a busy boy since my last post. Lots of time spent replacing head gaskets in my winter-beater 3.0 L Mazda Tribute. Man, that job kicked my a$$. Got the 440 out of the GTX, Started prepping the engine bay for lemonade. Tore the engine down to just crank, camshaft, and chain. No shortages of surpr...

Re: 73' Satellite brake booster removal
I think the answer may depend on which booster you have. I'm talking from recent experience with trying to remove mine in a '71 GTX. In that year, I believe there were two different boosters for non-hemi V-8s. Depended on diameter of the front brakes. In my case, the pedal stroke was reduced by usin...
