Seen this happen to multiple cars: Most-likely your RR isn't idling properly. I suggest downloading the manual for your carb (whether it be Holley,Demon, EdelBrock, etc) and finding out how to adjust your idle and float levels. Asked my Mopar buddy at New England Classic Car, Gary (Knows his stuff), seems that everyone here is correct. The short Red-slotted tips are correct for your RR. And Bruce is correct on the fact that the long-tips are for Hemi-resonated cars.

Here is a forum bound to explode in anger :lol: My 72' RR takes 89,91, and 93 octane pump gas. And these horrible gas prices are around $3.94 for regular (87) $4.01 (89) and as high as $4.26 (93). Same thing happened to my 72' My pos/neg battery cables were corroded. Clean them up with a wire brush and coat them in a lubricant (grease)

Did you use Autodesk 3DsMax to solid model the roadrunner? I have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in 3DsMax.

Nice ride! I have a 72' Roadrunner as well. I Like the look of it! Surprized to see the decklid and hood racing stripes on the RR. Haven't seen them on a runner yet. Thumbs up!
