Re: Advice when storing a car
Set the mouse traps in front, and behind, each tire. The tire is a pretty normal point of entry for rodents, the BF Goodrich's make excellent ladders. A mouse trap behind, and in front of each tire kind of makes that a bit more ...dangerous for the rodents. And I agree ....moth balls are pret...

Re: Still here lurking
One thing's for sure, I made the mistake of working inside/out on the car..interior then exterior...so I have a brand new headliner still in box, new carpet still in box, new seat covers, new door panels, new Satellite floor mats, a throwback Craig Powerplay Quad Tape Deck, an equalizer from the sam...

Re: Still here lurking
Serious, did you post about getting rid of your satellite before or was is this the first you have said anything about it? I'm sorry your project didn't work out. It must had been a tough decision to make knowing whether or not the car you had planned so much for was even worth it. yep, I posted som...

Re: Still here lurking
Is it a gas or diesel powered? Gas... .360 ci engine, edelbrock 4 barrel carb, hooker headers, dual exhaust, auto on the column, ac works darn well, new stereo system... trying to find the parts for the cruise control, since that's the only thing that doesn't work on it.. The old Prospector screams...

Even though I had to send the Serious Satellite project to the crusher (after stripping it of the engine, tranny, both hoods, and other salvageable parts..which are now in storage in Englewood, Ohio) I still lurk and read the forums. Generally without signing in. I spent the last 2010-May of 2011 in...

Re: Custom Console
Looks like a 1974 shifter. They went back to a ball shifter in '74. The '71 to '73 console shifters used a T handle. Which you had to be careful with. As they didn't like much abuse, and would crack or break. My 1973 RR had the ball shifter on it, center console. I always wondered why my friends Ch...

Re: I asked for the VIN and I got this....
Well, he answered the e-mail and things got screwed up when he uploaded the picture. He's selling a Sixty Three Mercury (wonder how I already knew that) and he got his photo upload screwed around. I'm thinking of going up and seeing this and maybe drive it home. It's a red Satty Sebring, three eight...

I asked for the VIN and I got this....
I e-mailed a guy here in Georgia about the VIN number for a 74 Satty he's selling on e-bay. It seemed like a solid candidate for a rolling resto, and it's only about 50 miles from where I am, and here is what I got.. http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/8947/040d.jpg Now... I'm 54, and I've owned thre...

Re: Serious Sattelite To Crusher...
I salvaged the interior, which gives me a green interior and a white one that I put together, to include new ceiling thingy (brain cramp...noun went away), new seat covers, new carpet. I removed the dash, but really don't know why I did, kept the ash tray, rear view mirrors. The passenger door was s...
