Re: My car in MCG
I like the color of the interior. It's different than most you see and it looks good in person. I'm not a huge fan of black interior though. Yes, black goes with anything, but I like to see the different colors. The '63 Max Wedge clone we're doing now will have red interior and our '71 'Cuda will ha...

Re: My car in MCG
Ryan, Just read the article. Congratulations on that. You did a fantastic job on your car! I have a real appreciation for those that toil to put the car back the way it came down the assembly line. I know it takes a tremendous amount of time and unfortunately $$. I don't want to offend anyone, I do...

Re: Help With My "New" 71 GTX
I have to agree with Eric. Short of finding your BS, you will never really know what your car originally came with. Forget about making a tag and build how you would have ordered it. It's still a RS23 so other than standard options, it's basically whatever you want it to be.

Re: Help With My "New" 71 GTX
GTX's generally always came with rocker, belt line, & wheel well moldings, bucket seats were standard but could be changed to split bench, automatic was standard, 440+4 was standard, except in CA dual exhaust "machine gun tips" were standard, the V1_ stripe was standard. Pretty much everything else ...

Re: My car in MCG
Eric, I don't know if you noticed, but the best part is the ad directly below the article on the last page. Too bad they would never have mentioned them by name in the article when they state "the first restoration shop was a minor disaster". One of the many errors in the article claims that w...

Re: My car in MCG
You're right Eric. I shouldn't expect anything else. Although, I did send them a nice email that asked why the hell would they want the article proofed if they had no intention of correcting the mistakes? Complete incompetence. By the way, no response back from them either......

My car in MCG
Just wanted everyone to know the article on the '71 GTX is coming out in the upcoming issue. I am very disappointed in how the article turned out. MANY errors. I even proofed the article and sent them back the corrections and they didn't change one thing. Oh well, I really shouldn't be too sur...

Actually, it's the reservoir cover. I don't know everything about these cars, but fellow 'Nest member, Norm, pointed out that it's supposed to be clear zinc.

I still haven't changed the master cylinder cover color, but I had my sister take some pictures of the car. It was kind of cloudy, but they turned out OK.

Re: 1971 Hemi RM23R
It was nice parking next to you for the weekend. I wish I would have gotten a picture of our cars parked together. I didn't think to pull out my camera until after you pulled out of the building. Then I thought to myself that I better at least get a pic of my dad.
